One of God’s keys for us to experience bodily health is that we “ fear the Lord and shun evil.” This should cause each of us to examine our lives carefully. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes fear the Lord and shun evil.Is God willing to forgive all our sins? Yes! Is He willing to heal all our diseases? Again, yes! These are among God’s “benefits” that He tells His people not to forget. Psalm 103:2-3 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits -who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.How does God say He will respond? - “I am the Lord your healer.” What is our part? - Listen carefully to Him, do what is right in His eyes, and pay attention to His commands and keep them. Many translations render the sentence above as “ I am the Lord your healer” (ESV, NASB, et al.). Healing is what God does it’s also an integral part of His very nature. Exodus 15:26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.In all cases, God is a Healer, and God answers prayer - “You who answer prayer, to you all people will come” (Psalm 65:2). King Hezekiah prayed with tears for his own healing, and God answered. Abraham prayed for others, and God healed them. Prayer is powerful! Prayer for healing is no exception. 2 Kings 20:5a “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears I will heal you.Genesis 20:17 Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelek, his wife and his female slaves so they could have children again.
Come, read God’s Word, and receive divine healing as the Word increases your faith to believe God and His wonderful, always-true promises. But the Word of God is living and powerful, and all by itself it will cause your faith for healing to grow. I’ve added some comments to bring focus on certain truths. If you will read the Scriptures below, which come from God’s Word the Bible, your faith to be healed can grow powerfully.
Seeing that the lame man “had faith to be healed” (Acts 14:9), Paul cried out, “Stand up on your feet!” And the man was instantly healed. Summary: While he was preaching in a Jewish synagogue, the apostle Paul saw among the listeners a lame man, who had never walked. The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound-think of it-for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.Scriptures on Healing to Give You Faith to Be Healed But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.īut the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.
